What exactly is homeopathy? Well........... it's a 2 hundred year old system of medicine..........blah, blah, blah, that uses energetic remedies, blah, blah, blah......proven to work..............blah, blah, blah,  like cures like, blah, blah, blah!

I know darn well that nobody understands me when I TRY and explain homeopathy to new patients. They just don't get it. It's not their fault, it is tough to understand.

So we have to break up our profession into bite size understandable pieces that the public can "get".

We size you up based on your appearance, body language, case history, lifetstyle, reactions, attitude, tone of voice, just like they do on the famous tv series "Criminal Minds ".  Seriously watch this, and you will know what we DO. We don't catch bad guys, we cure patients, using the SAME process.

Hahnemann stated that the most important symptom for determining a curative remedy is the mental/emotional state of the patient. Then it's the specific physicals. In order to find YOUR cure we must KNOW how you tick, if we don't get that we don't get anything. Hahnemann believed in the mind body connection very strongly.

The 3000 homeopathic remedies all have 'profiles'.  For example:

1.) Sepia  is a remedy made from the ink of a cuttlefish: In order for you to require Sepia you would have to have a type A personality, be highly intelligent, independent, ambitious, and caring.  Their suffering comes from feeling that they are the ones soley  responsible for ALL of their family's problems and thus constantly feel worried about them. They neglect themselves in this process. They feel they have to mother their family members, even if they have all grown up.  And therefore it makes sense that the organs affected would be the female reproductive organs.

The mind body connection is obvious here. The symptoms associated with this remedy are cysts on ovaries, chronic miscarriages, any uterine problems, and a hard time conceiving.

2.) Lycopodium  is a remedy made from clubmoss. This person has a deep seated inferiority complex, that they try and hide through overt arrogance. They are the classic "bullies" of our world. They pick and ridicule those that they feel are beneath them,and kiss the rear end of those above them. They are all talk and little action. They don't really have any confidence, so they hang out with others that DO have success so that they can hide behind a facade. They can't seem to measure up.

We see the obvious mind body connection here, with impotence coming out as a disease condition for lycopodium. Not being able to get an erection is a keynote symptom for this remedy.

The lycopodium patient  is never going to admit he feels inferior, that is the profile. So we have to determine it by observation. The Sepia patient type will admit to their inner feelings to you but not their families, that is the profile. 

This is why I have written so many posts on how to read people. We are trained at profiling.  All homeopaths are.
