How to Eradicate All Forms of Suffering
Had the most amazing day today. I was up at Dufferin and College, at the Dufferin Grove Farmers Market . I met a woman who just came back from a ten day meditation marathon. You go up north and learn to meditate, and I believe you do it for ten days for ten hours a day. It's supposed to eradicate all forms of suffering and teach people how to calm the mind. It's by donation only, so techinically you do not have to pay anything. It's called Vipasanna. It's held at the Ontario Vipasanna Center .
It is so humorous the way it presented itself to me. My friend and I were contemplating on what signs from the Universe were supposed to LOOK like. We shrugged our shoulders and said "heck if we know", and threw our arms up in the air. Then it happened, five minutes later, the guy my friend "liked" just showed up at the grove, out of thin air it seemed.
I said: that must be a sign!!
She said: but what does it mean?
I said: heck if I know, but go and talk to him.
She spoke to him and felt deflated and confused, and unsure about how to proceed.
Next thing you know her old room mate shows up at the grove. We all get together and have a girl chat about love and life. Her old roommate, Erika says, you need Vipassana , I just got back from ten days of meditating and in that place you will not feel confused about "men", or anything in life.
My analysis of the signs from the universe: I think the guy she "liked" showed up to trigger old emotional wounds that need healing within her. I feel the Vipassana information was meant for me.

What Vipassana is:

- It is a technique that will eradicate suffering.
- It is a method of mental purification which allows one to face life's tensions and problems in a calm, balanced way.
- It is an art of living that one can use to make positive contributions to society.
- Vipassana eliminates the three causes of all unhappiness: craving, aversion and ignorance
- Vipassana was developed as a technique by the Buddha
- Penetrate the deepest levels of the unconscious mind and learn how to eradicate the complexes lying there
What Vipassana is not:
- It is not a rite or ritual based on blind faith.
- It is neither an intellectual nor a philosophical entertainment.
- It is not a rest cure, a holiday, or an opportunity for socializing.
- It is not an escape from the trials and tribulations of everyday life
My analysis of the signs from the universe: I think the guy she "liked" showed up to trigger old emotional wounds that need healing within her. I feel the Vipassana information was meant for me.
