Home Remedy for Pathological Shyness

I went to my first professional networking session the other day. This was huge for me considering I am pathologically shy. I had to announce my business to all these other professionals. I am so shy I will send someone I like a present to their business, but not ever speak with them, call them, drop by, and if I see them I will hide, (under a couch if I can) and avoid eye contact. It's bad, REALLY BAD.

Homeopathic side joke: I have already been on every BARYTA remedy known !!

So going to this session was stepping into my fear zone big time. I realized I can never get my business off the ground unless I learn to talk to people.

But not without the help of some trusty bach flower remedies !!

I self prescribed the following remedies:

1.) Larch (is for people that lack self confidence)
2.) Gentian (people that have a lot of fears, concrete fears that keep them from moving forward in life)
3.) Mimulus (for nervousness around others)
4.) White chestnut (people that can't stop themselves from constantly thinking self destructive thoughts about themselves)

I learned some interesting things about the healing business. Health is one of those things where you really have to LOOK the part and BE the part to GET the business. I realized that after that session.

It seems that for my particular practice, people need  to MEET me. This is a good thing. People genuinely like me and want to come to my business after talking to me a couple of times. I was hiding behind my two websites for a year!! That's how shy I was. Ironically the way to build my practice is through meeting people. Funny how that is, isn't it? Still working through it, but at least I am making progress.
