I can't count the number of times I receive phone calls from people claiming that they have no idea what is wrong with them. The medical system can't figure it out, and they are at their wits end. Most of these people claim they have some sort of "unknown" illness, and I get asked if homeopathy can treat their unknown disease. 

Welcome to the world of dowsing, where reality meets the paranormal. Dowsing goes way back, when the wiccans of ancient past used to use tree branches to locate streams of water under the ground so that their village could dig a well and have a consistent supply of water to the village. 

It's a way  for the universal mind to speak to you through a tool called a dowsing rod or pendulum.  The rod or pendulum moves after you have asked a question. The question needs to be specific enough to prompt a response and not vague. Also you can't have a bias for the answer, because our own energy can move the tool as well.





Example:
Where are my friends tonight? versus
Is Jane Doe at Bob Doe's house?

Is it like a ouja board? Sort of the same concept, yes, but it isn't used to talk to demons or dead people. Dowsing is used to find information about your topic of interest. This post isn't about demon possession 101.

Fast forward a few thousand years to today....

We do not need to locate water, or use tree branches, but dowsing is used to find out information about

• lost items
• health concerns
• answers about our future

I was experiencing these really odd symptoms of feeling that something terrible was about to happen to me. I dowsed and it said I was low on vitamin B. So I took some B vitamins and the symptoms went away, and then I wrote a post about it. But it was through dowsing that I found the answer. 

In a nut shell you can find out anything you want through dowsing. But it takes practice like anything else in life. It is a handy skill to master no matter who you are and what you do.
