Nutrition Support For Mental Illness and Depression

Many severe cases of depression, and many kinds of mental illness (bipolar disorder, suicidal tendencies, ADD and schizophrenia) can be rectified with nutrition. The solution is that it requires specific nutrients required in specific amounts and dosages. This is why mental illness can seem so hard to heal. I was researching it lately and an acquaintance told me about a company called "TRUE HOPE".  Their product is called "Empower".

They specialize in curing these kinds of illnesses, through micronutrition, where they combine specific vitamins with specific minerals in combination enough to rebalance the disorder. Their philosophy is that we get these nutrients in our foods everyday but NOT in the exact proportion people need to recover.

This makes sense if you were to compare it to a recipe for a cake, or a dish. You need specific ingredients. Their testimonial page is impressive, most of those people have severe conditions. They have done extensive clinical trials on this product so it isn't fly by the pants overnight company making boastful claims.

As far back as the 1960's a gentleman by the name of Dr. Linus Pauling concluded that some people genetically have a greater need for nutrients than some others, and so failure to meet these extra requirements could result in mental illness, as the brain needs certain nutirents in key combinations for its basic functions. True Hope  has unlocked this very unique combination. The founder of the company David Hardy believes that a wide range of deficiencies result in mental illness, not just a few.

Other nutrients that are essential for mood and higher brain function are

1.) essential fatty acids, omega 3, EPA and DHA (best from EBI nutrition)
2.) Vitamin D3 (3000-4000 IU/day)
3.) Ginko

Another good product for mood is BRAIN ON, made to brighten mood with PEA ( the love molceule) increase clarity and concentration. I used to recommend this product but now have discovered this one. How exciting!
