Assumptions...........

One of the things I noticed when I mention I am an alternative medicine practitioner is the judgements and assumptions people project onto me before I even get to know them, or open my mouth. They are:

1.)
I am a vegetarian
2.) That I am going to judge them if they smoke, drink, eat junk food, or eat meat
3.) I am then going to lecture them about the errors of their ways and try and convert them to my lifestyle
4.) That I must be totally healthy and perfect myself, and if I am not then I am a hypocrite
5.) Get into this superiority/ inferiority power struggle or moral struggle with them

Ok news flash:

I do not care if you smoke, drink your brains out, eat crap all day, and use foul language everytime you open your mouth. I am not interested in judging you. It's not my life, it's your life. You can do what ever you dam please with your life.

I am interested only in helping people if they ask for it.  If people are sick, of being sick. When my brother was ill,  I never once mentioned to him he can seek out alternative health care, not once did I pressure him into anything. I went with him to the hospital for support and that's it.

I grew up in a home with cigarettes, alcoholism, junk food and negative thinking. I am used to that whole way of life. In fact my best friend Ed smokes. So smokers do not need to hide under a couch when I walk into a room.

Some health practitioners may behave this way, but not all of us do.  I just want to set the record straight. It's no different than projecting judgements onto other professions. For example: that all blue collar workers are stupid and uneducated. Or that all lawyers are crooks, or that all politicians are liars, or that all mechanics are men, or all nurses are women.

These shenanigans need to stop.

The Top 10 Signs You Are Healing

1.) Look for the change in the outward reflection. The biggest clue is a reversal in the aging process. When inner crapola leaves and self acceptance reign this creates a rejuvination of the cells. When stress leaves the body there is a definite sign. Feeling better physically will usually come AFTER the person transforms emotionally.

2.)
Others clues are weight loss, brighter aura, more upright posture, clearer skin, but all in combination with each other. Sudden weight loss may be a sign of illness or a bad weight loss regime. Emotional baggage is called that for a reason, it adds baggage to the body in the form of weight gain. The amount of emotional baggage is directly proportional to the amount of added physical baggage of the body. This is why most people gain the weight back when they go on a dietary regime, because they do not do any real emotional cleansing, so the outward reflection of having physical baggage must return.

3.) Change in the company a person keeps or attracts. Is it the same ole jerk over and over, or is this guy actually NICE?

4.) Look for the change in their clothes, residence, type of car they choose, hair style. Although these can be measuring devices, many people are so insecure and care about what others think and putting on a facade that they will upgrade their clothes, buy that fancy car, and home, even if they have to go into debt. So it depends. You have to measure this one with caution.

5.) Living simpler, and clutter free. Yup, the further you get into this process the more you will dump the possessions, and the clutter from your life.  You will learn that your worth is not dependent upon driving a fancy car, or owning the best of everything. The things you purchase will reflect your beauty within, versus compensating for lack of it.

6.) Look for a change in values and ethics. Does the person in question now care about the welfare of others, the state the world is in, telling the truth and living from integrity?

7.)
The outward reflection of dysfunction leaves. You divorce the unfaithful partner , the crappy job leaves, the lying too bit good for nothing friend stops calling, things collapse around you. It seems as if things are getting worse. But this is false, the crap has to go before the good stuff comes in.

8.) Feeling more relaxed and light about life. Not choosing to take offense to every little thing someone else does or says.

9.) Sense of humour and using it frequently. Laughter is one of the most powerful healing forces we have. This is why I use it in my posts. Laugher is healing, seriousness is not.

10.) Liking others, that is the ultimate reflection of self love. We like ourselves, we like others. We dislike ourselves, we dislike others.

Sac Lac: Homeopathy's Placebo Remedy

This is a humorous post because many people believe that homeopathy is placebo, that all the remedies are nothing, and all are placebos. This is  false. We have our own placebo remedy that IS essentially................... NOTHING.

We call it  SAC LAC.   It's a sugar pellet, the same placebo that pharmaceuticals use, when they do clinical trials. I have never used Sac Lac in my practice. Our remedies are made by pouring the remedy in liquid form over sugar pellets. In SAC LAC we just give the sugar pellets.

I can tell you in my experience, many homeopaths give sac lac, and it annoys patients to no end when they paid for the session only to be given ..........NOTHING. They want a medicine, not a placebo. This is another reason why homeopaths do not like to tell patients what remedy they are taking.

Why is Sac Lac used? Some homeopaths want to create a placebo effect on their patients to see what they will say the following month. To see the state of the patient more clearly. If you give a patient NOTHING, so there is NO energetic effect, and the patient comes back the next month and starts complaining about aggravations, bad dreams, or physical anomalies that aren't real. Then we can see the persons REAL state. It's good for chronic liars, or people that feed off of complaining. Sac Lac will be able to pull that out.

I can see it's validity. I have seen patients in my clinic that demand a new remedy everytime they come in. This could be a good use for Sac Lac. People that demand a constant change in remedy hold the belief that says  "nothing works", hey if "nothing works" then Sac Lac could be the REMEDY FOR THEM !!  (Homeopathic humour).

Other uses are when the remedy the person is ON is still showing a healing effect and homeopaths do not want to give more medicine and potentially aggravate the patients condition.

Pick Yer Own Dam Dog

Ok, so "Santa" bought you that dog you've always wanted. We both know it wasn't that fat chubby guy that can barely get his ass out of bed, let alone down a chimney.

So, let's be frank, your partner bought the dog. How romantic, sends hearts a fluttering when the partner of your dreams comes home with a cute puppy.

It's not so romantic when the puppy did not choose you. Would you allow your friends to pick your partner? Why is an animal any different? My friends ARE trying to pick my partner, it ain't pretty.

This post is dedicated to helping people to pick animals that are right for them so everyone involved can have a fruitful experience

1.)
Animals came to Earth to have a good and funky time. They did not come to Earth to fill your voids. They did not come to Earth to be kicked or abused because your angry and need an outlet. They did not come to Earth to be left on a chain all day and neglected.
2.) Let them pick you, it's important that you have a connection with your animal. They should like you first. After all you will be spending all day with them.
3.) If animals don't like you they WILL run away. Don't even try the denial tactic and insist Lassie got "lost". Lassie can sniff his way back to your house if he has to.
4.) Picking the ideal pet should be like a re run of Casablanca, NO, not Casa Loma.
5.) Select an animal that you know you can properly care for and spend a lifetime with. Selling them or pawning them off to someone else is traumatic for them if they like you and become attached.

I hope this helps,
Happy pet hunting,

The Emotional Cause of Autoimmune Disease

                     GUILT

is the answer. What is guilt? It's the feeling that you are bad and wrong and deserve to be punished. What is an autoimmune disease? When your body's own tissue is being attacked by your OWN immune system to create self punishment and an early death.

     AKA: SELF PUNISHMENT

Guilt is emotional self punishment and an autoimmune condition is the PERFECT physical match for such a state.

It's deep seated guilt. Most of us suffer guilt to some degree, but people with an autoimmune condition, hiccup over it time and time again. I learned this while freeing myself from Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. I knew guilt was the cause.

The cure for guilt is self acceptance. You are fine as you are. You are lovable as you are is the lesson.

But even then the physical body needs some help. Homeopathy to the rescue. Homeopathy can eradicate the condition in a swifter manner, but the patient has to be willing to release the guilt.  The homeopath has to figure out what the person is feeling guilty about in particular. With hashimotos, it's the feeling that you may say something bad and wrong, and if you do, you will be punished.

Other forms of autoimmune conditions are Lupus, Rheumatoid arthritis, and AIDS.

Aids: I feel bad and wrong.....for whatever reason, and therefore I am defenseless against it.
Arthritis: I feel guilty for.........whatever reason......and unwilling to bend despite it.

Disease: The Outward Reflection that Emotional Trauma Creates

I am going to tell you a story, a true story.  It's perfect for this post.

The story of my mothers death. Back in November of 2001 my mother died of lung cancer, she was fifty years old and I was twenty four.

My mother had a daughter (ME), a son, a husband, a sister, and a mother that was still alive, and a father that died of lung cancer just prior to her diagnosis.

                                                                                             FAST forward five years....................

  1. My brother: his body ravaged with advanced cancer
  2. Auntie Donna (my mom's sister): In a wheelchair from causes unknown
  3. Grandmother: In a old age home, she degenerated so quickly mentally and emotionally after losing her husband and daughter, that they took her out of her house and transferred her to an old age home.

My step father and I were the only ones not to get a physical disease. WHY?

It depends on how the persons perceives the event. For my step father the experience was not a trauma, but a liberation from an unhappy marriage. For me, it was traumatic to the extreme, but I did not suppress my emotional body, I cried and grieved as long as it took to be free from the pain. My other relatives perceived it as a trauma and they choose suppression, as a way to cope. Suppressed trauma creates disease.

I had my fair share of problems, but did not choose suppression.

Long before my brothers diagnosis, I saw illness on his face and told my best friend, Guylaine, he's dying. I don't know of what, but he's dying. He had deep green circles under his eyes, I could feel the unhappiness off him, that was deeply suppressed and killing him.  I was not in a position to tell him. Some people aren't in a space to listen, to be open. It was a process he needed to go through. He survived, but barely.

If you have illness please be advised that there is something troubling you, very deeply. It's important to love yourself enough to seek that out and let it heal.

The Reflection that Allopathy Has to Teach

Allopathy: The conventional medical system as we know it. It is a system that treats the symptoms but not the cause of the illness. Drugs and surgery are the primary methods of treatment.

I see medical doctors and alternative healers at each others throat. One camp accusing the other camp of being BAD AND WRONG.

Ok, Allopathy is not bad and wrong. It is a mirror of the level of humanities consciousness. Humanity as a whole wants to eliminate the physical sufferings of their illness without having to take repsonsibility for it. With that intention, allopathy must be created. It is the only form of medicine that can match the request of the people. For if people were NOT requesting this than allopathy would not exist.

But people are learning harsh lessons that their choices have brought them. When you deny the cause of the illness and try and take the easy and fast way out, it has a harsh reflection to teach:   Drugs create:

1.)
Side effects
2.) Worsening of the disease over time
3.) Permanent organ damage or failure
4.) Suppression of the disease to create another one, (if you suppress eczema for long enough you may get asthma, which is a deeper and more serious condition)
5.) Permanent dependency
6.) Toxicity
7.) Early death

In some instances, drugs can be a great temporary stop gap measure. In truth, people need to function, remain pain free, and sane.

It is not loving to take away medication that is sustaining the health of the patient  in the name of abstaining from drugs. The balance point rests in seeking the cause while the drugs can keep the patient well enough to enjoy their daily lives. In this way healing can still be accomplished.

Drugs have a harsh reflection to teach to those souls that do not want to learn how they created their illness in the first place. It is a vicious cycle of chronic suppression and worsening of the disease over time.

Many souls on Earth of had enough experience with drugs to FINALLY realise that this path is not for their best and highest interests in the long run. Many are seeking other ways. But the lesson is not entirely learned. The idea of taking responsibility, being patient, and dedicating one self to full recovery is not an appealing choice for most.

Many do not like the idea of having to do anything other than nothing. Human laziness is the biggest problem I see in this profession. People have the divine right to choose laziness, but they will face their harsh reflection over time, as their bodies get more ill, and the disease starts to ravage their body.

Time and time again, I have seen that people get the healing they seek, if their intention is strong and genuine.

Allopathy is...............

I hear it everyday from alternative practitioners on "hemp row" ...................

  • allopathy is bad and wrong!!
  • allopathy is evil and kills people!!!
  • big pharma wants to kill us all!!
  • big pharma is our enemy!!
  • big pharma is greedy
  • drugs are baaaaad!!!
So much for our profession being emotionally calm, (wink). Let's do our homework, I talked about outward reflections yesterday.

Drugs or allopathic medicine is a reflection of what? That is your homework, for today, you must come up with the answer.

Hints:

What kind of issues would humanity need to carry within to create this whole medical system without?

To create a system that kills people, that kills people and makes money while doing it, that doesn't heal anything, keeps people dependent, drains peoples bank account, punishes the sick, and refuses care if you have too many health complications?

Answers coming soon.

What is Healing?

What healing really is.................

Everything in our life is a reflection. It's an exact replica of what is going on emotionally or internally. Our disease, our job, our partner, our life, our body, the people we attract, the circumstances we attract, are reflections of our inner state.  When this inner reality changes/heals the outer reflection MUST change. Healing is a transformation at the INNER LEVEL, not at the outer level.

Most patients that come into my clinic want me to give them an allopathic solution with natural remedies. Most do not like the side effects of drugs, so they seek alternative medicine only to discover that real healing takes real work.

Taking drugs is an outer reflection of the patients desire to suppress their pain and NOT look at the cause.

Some people believe they are perfectly fine as they are, there is no need to change. They want to continue to enjoy their anger, judgements, cruelty, malice, negative views on life, and dramas, while being free from their outward reflection = disease.  Many will deny having these feelings, but the body never lies, it can only express what is going on internally.

Let's go over outward reflections
:

    • The outward reflection of our greed creates exploitation of Earth's resources
    • The outward reflection of our apathy is starvation and homelessness
    • The outward reflection of our rage is nuclear holocaust
    • The outward reflection of our inner dishonesty is our politicians
    • The outward reflection to hide our inner ugliness creates botox and plastic surgery
    • The outward reflection of feeling superior or inferior creates caste systems
    • The outward reflection of us trying to hide our intentions creates secret societies
    • The outward reflection of guilt creates punishment
    • The outward reflection of the desire to escape creates the drug cartel
    • The outward reflection of having other people think for us creates propaganda
    • The outer reflection of stubbornness is arthritis
    • The outward reflection of all disease is emotional trauma
    • The outward reflection of longstanding stress is aging

I hear people claim they are happy but they still age. Great question. But it just indicates that there are some imbalances still left to clear for our cells respond to our feelings, our cells must mirror our consciousness.

Unconditional self love can not create aging, or disease, it is energetically impossible.  So our task in this lifetime is to learn to love, appreciate, and care for ourselves. We are all in the same boat, there is no judgement here. Aging or disease is not a failure, it does not mean you are bad or wrong, it does not mean you have made poor choices, it does not mean you are unlovable, it does not mean you have bad karma (lol)   ...............

                                                                                             BUT IT IS A REFLECTION

of all the stress you have placed on yourselves, of the torment you have endured, of the misunderstandings you have placed on your worth as humans, and that sadness you carry that you deny.

Do Patients Have the Right to Know What Remedy They are Taking?

This is a great question. And many of my patients want to know the name of the remedy they are taking. I personally have no issue with this. I really don't care. BUT I have learned that many people aren't emotionally mature enough to know.

When people find out what remedy they are taking, they do 2 things, and I have seen it in my practice.

1.)
They "google" the name of the remedy online and learn everything about it.  First of all, the internet gives only a brief over view of the remedy, and the meat of the information is in our materia medica. So patients only get partial information. Then some patients come back to us and challenge our decisions. Insisting that we did not give them the correct remedy, based on what they read. Some choose to take offense. The entire case gets side tracked from their own healing to a conflict about correct remedy selection.

2.) Some patients see if the remedy is working that they can dump their homeopath and start self prescribing. This is very dangerous, as there are so many potencies in our pharmacopia, that the correct potency selection is just as important as the selection of the remedy itself. Also is timing, and frequency of repetition. Patients can literally send themselves to the hospital if they choose the wrong potency and administer it improperly.

I agree with patients that they should know what the remedy is, but I do not disclose it because I know that there is likely hood of them doing the above actions.

What I have found is to tell patients a bit about the remedy, if it is a plant or mineral and what it normally treats or cures. Then they know something, and everyone feels happy.

I have had patients ask me about the remedy, so I tell them in all honesty, then they choose to feel so offended that it alters my relationship with them.  Others have come right out and said : why should I pay you a hundred dollars a visit when the remedy is working, you can tell me what it is, then I can pay ten dollars for the remedy over the counter, and save myself a dime.

All points of view are valid. The balance point is this. If you must know the remedy you are taking, then find a homeopath that is willing to disclose it to you. DO NOT get into an arguement about rightness or wrongness of this issue. That only creates conflict.

I had a naturopath as a patient that was feeling so much better she just had to know the name of the remedy, and when I told her she didn't see the connection and was perplexed.  Another case where I choose a remedy, that got a child to start talking after four years of him being a mute. The mother just had to know the remedy too, and got angry when I didn't want to tell her.

Disclosure of the remedy often creates more problems then satisfying the curiousity of the patient.

The Answer is: Yes patients should know, but most are not emotionally mature enough to do whats proper with the information.

The Power of Now: Eckhart Tolle

The biggest challenge I see in my clinic is a lack of understanding of what healing really IS.  There are books written to help people along the way, but even these books are rife with misunderstandings that need immediate clarification.

One such book is the famous The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle .  He suggests that all suffering is the result of not living in the present moment, and that all of our power comes from living in the present.

This is ALL TRUE.  But we must ask ourselves some really important questions.

1.) Why do most people not live in the present moment?
2.) If we are not living in the present moment then what are people doing?

When we do not live in the present moment, we are daydreaming or disassociating

Why do people daydream or disassociate?

The answer is because people do not like their PRESENT lives, because they are in emotional pain, so the only way to cope is by distractions, daydreaming, and disassociating.  So asking people to live in the present moment forces them to feel all the things they are trying to avoid feeling.

The ultimate goal is to live in the present moment, and Eckhart Tolle is technically right about all he says, but doesn`t understand that doing this for most people is going to be too traumatic. The truth about healing is that once you focus on the present moment, then the person becomes aware of their emotional pain, of their physical pain, of the unhappiness that they have felt all along. As liberating as this sounds, it can be overwhelming, and can be too much to face, too soon for most people.

Experiment: For one day, do not phone anybody, do not surf the internet, do not eat, do not watch tv, do not DO anything,  just BE. Now notice how you feel, all you have left is your own emotions to feel, and the pain surfaces.

The balance point is this: we face our inner pain in increments. We live in the present moment in increments and face our pain, as our body can handle it. As the process of healing progresses you will naturally start living more and more in the present moment. But not until then. Living in the present moment fully and completely means you have to have ALL of yourself present with you, including your emotional feelings, to truly BE in the moment.

Living in the present moment is a natural process of HEALING and should not be something you feel you must force yourself to do in the name of being healthy.

Who Inspires You?

Who inspires you and why? That is the question. I am not about to say that Ghandi, or Jesus, or Hahnemann inspire me. I don't know them, and never met them.

I am inspired by regular people who I have met, and seen for myself the crap they have gone through. For one I can say that my brother Kurt Tietz  inspires me. Ten years ago he was working at SafeWay as a produce clerk in Edmonton. He hated it, and decided to risk his cozy job and go back to school. He moved back to Toronto and enrolled in commerce at U of T.

Through hard work and plenty of bad luck, (must be his karma!!, wink) he is now a Charted Accountant, director of finance for Carlsberg Canada, drives a mercedes, owns an upscale home, met a wonderful hot wife, acquired the "retarded" dog, and travels around the world.  Not too shabby eh? The guy didn't get much support and encouragement from anyone, I was too young and selfish to care at the time, and our parents well...............don't ask.

My mechanic inspires me, Jessica Gilbank. (ohhh, love the search engine lift from that).  Similiar circumstances as my brother. She made a complete 180 turn in her career direction with little emotional support. She became a mechanic opened up her own shop, and now she's being sued. She's all over the media, I am sure she gets her fair share of crap from people.  AND the woman keeps going !!  All the stress is on her, her employees get to go home at night and sleep well, not her.

Real people, who I know, inspire me. Famous people don't do anything for me. It's in times like these where you discover your own inner strength, learn who your friends really are, and learn to pull miracles out of yer ass. The most crappy times in our lives offer us the greatest spiritual advancements, because we are forced to face our fears, we are forced to step up to the plate, because if we don't, we die. It really is quite black and white at that point.

What's the lesson? Self reliance is a wonderful thing, and we do not ever want to encourage co dependency. But leaving people to fend for themselves in dire circumstances is also out of balance. I feel that humanity really has to come out of it's selfishness a lot more and learn to offer love and support to people that are in need of it. If you can offer help, then offer it, even if it's small.

It's Your Karma

I have been hearing this a lot lately. That every bad thing that happens to us, must be deserved because it is our karma.

So some homeless man on the street deserves what he gets because it is his karma? Someone loses their home because it is their karma? Well then millions of people out there must have bad karma.  I guess all those Americans that got swindled by the banks must have bad karma, I guess all those mass layoffs must be happening to people with bad karma.

When people are using it in a sentence they are implying that there is some "guy in the sky"  keeping track of all the bad things we do, and one day the KARMA police show up on your doorstep and pull the rug out from underneath you. Bad things happen to bad people is also an implication here.

I have a different opinion on why "bad things" happen to people. I honestly feel it is our fears being reflected to us. Unhealed fear has a reflection, it is called bad luck.  It removes the whole good versus bad person scenerio that many people cling to.

Most of humanity hold the deep seated fear of being homeless. Infact many people live their entire lives to avoid feeling that fear.  But if it is never healed within us, then is has the opportunity to manifest in reality.

If there is zero fear of being homeless then it can not manifest it is against spiritual law. Fear has attracting power because it is an emotion and emotions are magnetic. So really when bad things happen to people, they are literally creating/facing their own unhealed fears.

I would like to suggest that every time something horrible happens to us, it is a cry from our emotional and spiritual selves to heal fear and any other pains within us VERSUS judging people as BAD and deserving of their bad luck. Imagine how it would affect our self esteem if everytime something terrible happened to us, we felt it was our karma, and therefore we must be bad people?

The implication is: if something bad happens to you, then you must have done something bad to deserve it. What goes around comes around, what you dish out comes back to you is all the same implication.

That sounds to me like judging and it takes us away from love, compassion and the desire to help our fellow man.

Henna: The Natural Way to Tattoo

So you did it again didn't you? Slept with MR. WRONG. And although you would love to forget about him, you can't.  Because his initials are tattooed all over your naive body.

Sigh, you know what I am talking about don't you!!  That's ok, there is always tattoo laser surgery removal. Or the underground market can save you all kinds of money if your willing to lose your skin as well as that tattoo.

Never fear HENNA  is here!! If you suspect you are one of those gals that suffers from temporary lapses of stupidity, take my advice and try henna first.

What is Henna? A natural dye made from the henna plant. Men and women of the indian cultures have been using it for thousands of years. Traditionally they tattoo womens hands and feet. But you can use it for all kinds of creative body work. It can easily be removed with soap and water. The dye soaks into the first few layers of the skin. The henna design fades as old skin cells slough off.

Benefits of Henna:

1.) Constantly be updating your designs
2.) Try it out and see if the design you have chosen fits who you are
3.) It is removable
4.) It is natural and safe
5.) You can experiment with this before getting a permanent tattoo

I was thinking if I got a real tattoo I was going to make it look like a henna design.  People would assume it was henna but is infact a real tattoo. I haven't seen that idea yet on anyone.

Disadvantages of Henna Tattoo:

1.) Going through the constant process of putting it on
2.) Doesn't last that long, perhaps 4-5 days
3.) It comes only in one color
