I am going to tell you a story, a true story. It's perfect for this post.
The story of my mothers death. Back in November of 2001 my mother died of lung cancer, she was fifty years old and I was twenty four.
My mother had a daughter (ME), a son, a husband, a sister, and a mother that was still alive, and a father that died of lung cancer just prior to her diagnosis.
FAST forward five years....................

It depends on how the persons perceives the event. For my step father the experience was not a trauma, but a liberation from an unhappy marriage. For me, it was traumatic to the extreme, but I did not suppress my emotional body, I cried and grieved as long as it took to be free from the pain. My other relatives perceived it as a trauma and they choose suppression, as a way to cope. Suppressed trauma creates disease.
I had my fair share of problems, but did not choose suppression.
Long before my brothers diagnosis, I saw illness on his face and told my best friend, Guylaine, he's dying. I don't know of what, but he's dying. He had deep green circles under his eyes, I could feel the unhappiness off him, that was deeply suppressed and killing him. I was not in a position to tell him. Some people aren't in a space to listen, to be open. It was a process he needed to go through. He survived, but barely.
If you have illness please be advised that there is something troubling you, very deeply. It's important to love yourself enough to seek that out and let it heal.

What healing really is.................
Everything in our life is a reflection. It's an exact replica of what is going on emotionally or internally. Our disease, our job, our partner, our life, our body, the people we attract, the circumstances we attract, are reflections of our inner state. When this inner reality changes/heals the outer reflection MUST change. Healing is a transformation at the INNER LEVEL, not at the outer level.
Most patients that come into my clinic want me to give them an allopathic solution with natural remedies. Most do not like the side effects of drugs, so they seek alternative medicine only to discover that real healing takes real work.
Taking drugs is an outer reflection of the patients desire to suppress their pain and NOT look at the cause.
Some people believe they are perfectly fine as they are, there is no need to change. They want to continue to enjoy their anger, judgements, cruelty, malice, negative views on life, and dramas, while being free from their outward reflection = disease. Many will deny having these feelings, but the body never lies, it can only express what is going on internally.
I hear people claim they are happy but they still age. Great question. But it just indicates that there are some imbalances still left to clear for our cells respond to our feelings, our cells must mirror our consciousness.
Unconditional self love can not create aging, or disease, it is energetically impossible. So our task in this lifetime is to learn to love, appreciate, and care for ourselves. We are all in the same boat, there is no judgement here. Aging or disease is not a failure, it does not mean you are bad or wrong, it does not mean you have made poor choices, it does not mean you are unlovable, it does not mean you have bad karma (lol) ...............
BUT IT IS A REFLECTION
of all the stress you have placed on yourselves, of the torment you have endured, of the misunderstandings you have placed on your worth as humans, and that sadness you carry that you deny.

Who inspires you and why? That is the question. I am not about to say that Ghandi, or Jesus, or Hahnemann inspire me. I don't know them, and never met them.

My mechanic inspires me, Jessica Gilbank. (ohhh, love the search engine lift from that). Similiar circumstances as my brother. She made a complete 180 turn in her career direction with little emotional support. She became a mechanic opened up her own shop, and now she's being sued. She's all over the media, I am sure she gets her fair share of crap from people. AND the woman keeps going !! All the stress is on her, her employees get to go home at night and sleep well, not her.
Real people, who I know, inspire me. Famous people don't do anything for me. It's in times like these where you discover your own inner strength, learn who your friends really are, and learn to pull miracles out of yer ass. The most crappy times in our lives offer us the greatest spiritual advancements, because we are forced to face our fears, we are forced to step up to the plate, because if we don't, we die. It really is quite black and white at that point.
What's the lesson? Self reliance is a wonderful thing, and we do not ever want to encourage co dependency. But leaving people to fend for themselves in dire circumstances is also out of balance. I feel that humanity really has to come out of it's selfishness a lot more and learn to offer love and support to people that are in need of it. If you can offer help, then offer it, even if it's small.
